Well, here it is - my last day in South Africa.

I have had an amazing trip. Simply beyond words.

Asi and I have spent the past few days in Potshefstroom, a small town in the Northwest Province. We've been staying on a farm outside of town with three Afrikaner guys. Yesterday we kayaked down the river and watched the Springboks kick Australia's ass in rugby. Today we did a three hour moterbike ride through the country.

I'm also really gearing up for coming back next year with students. Eileen, I've got the whole thing sorted. I even have arranged an "exchange" with a school in Jo'burg to make the planning easier for us. And Asi wants to drive us. I'll tell you all about it when I get home. I KNOW this trip can happen now. But we'll definitely need at least three weeks.

Anyway, I fly tomorrow and I will most certainly leave a piece of myself behind.

Talk to you soon...

If I'm all graduated...perhaps I could chaperon? I mean, you'd need an intercultural communications specialist, right? Hee hee...

Call me when you recover! We're leaving Thursday for the weekend, back Monday p.m. Cindy will be feeding my green dinosaur. Outside of that, back to work (some) on Tuesday 8/2!
